I always wanted a pontiac grand am when i was in high school, but went w/ a used 325i instead... nothing against pontiac but my eyes lit up when i saw the opportunity to get the beemer.

I was thinking of looking at the 525/535i series of BMWs.

The 700 series are nice cars. Just really expensive.

A friend of mine said I should go with Mercedes instead.

I voted that they're all lame...I do like the body's on some...Like the Camero....

But if I had to choose an American car for it's muscle and sex appeal...It'd be the 1972 Chevy Chevelle...That car is bad.

For me a car is just a machine to get from A to B. Car companies have been making useless variations in garbage for decades.

Try finding data on the total that American consumers lose on the Depreciation of the junk.

Just another way for dumb White people to make money wrecking the planet.

I usually go with the Japanese as they are very reliable as long as you stay on top of the maintenance. The European models will break you if you don't do the maintenance yourself! American car quality has lost a lot of it's appeal over the last ~35 years. All in all, I buy used from private owners to avoid the huge depreciation that cars lose in their first few years!!
