Battered by the storms that blow.
Bowing hard and oh so low.
Heart sometimes aching as though
it would break.
I still thank him
For keeping me safe!

This has been a week of trial and
triumph...each and every day
But, I thank him anyway!

Sometimes filled with anger at the
way the world has become, so uncaring
and unsharing sending pain through
every family , drugs and death of children
Powers that be that are corrupt and foul
But every day I kneel and pray
And I thank him anyway!

This year has been full of trial and triumph
sending me every which a way.
New/old love came back to bless me.
Illness and family tragedies came forth
to test me.
And each and every day
I thank him anyway!

Come closer he answers when ever I feel
fear, that is the moment that the Creator
is ever near...full of comforting energy
to think he loves a wretch like me...
And so I pray each and every day.
And I thank him anyway!
